Do You Know What Happens Next? Share the Epilogue!

Hey, CaC2ers!

I dunno about you, but I have some ideas in mind for what happens to my characters after the Battle concludes (which, hopefully, will not happen for a very long time). For instance, I know how Naina and Kazadan die. I'm not so sure about Essa and Nordan, though.
So if you want to write up a brief epilogue and post it in the comments, I'd love to read it. :P I'm gonna go ahead and post mine. Please bear in mind that these epilogues are tentative, and that I might change them at any time. They are in no way spoilers for what happens during the Battle. Just my musings as of this moment.

Naina Raynt never took another Padawan after Aza, for reasons that she did not disclose. But the truth was she felt unqualified as a mentor due to her own tendency to waver in allegiance. Aza’s capture also plagued her, Although nobody ever blamed her for it. As the years and grey hairs accumulated, Master Raynt found herself seeking solitude. Guilt hung over her like a cloud. She could often be found in the meditation room of the Jedi Temple--reveling in the peace and isolation it provided. When she was dispatched on missions by the Council, Naina preferred to travel alone, or in the company of an older Master.
As time rushed by, Naina and Kazadan’s friendship deepened. Naina Raynt never had to pretend to be ‘good,’ when around Sarsis. Instead, she spoke her mind freely, and he listened. Often she found herself hysterical in the middle of these conversations--but Kazadan remained unfazed, never speaking until she had exhausted all that pent-up emotion. The simple act of listening and reserving judgement was deeply, inexpressibly comforting to her. Kazadan became the foundation for Naina to rebuild her life on, although she never completely recovered from the shock of losing Aza.
Naina Raynt died at the age of sixty-two, just a few months after Kazadan was slain in battle. Her death was attributed to natural causes. Rumors accumulated, however, that a rogue Apprentice had snuck into Master Raynt’s apartment and done the deed. Much in the same way Naina had committed her first murder.

Kazadan was tired. Exhausted. That feeling only increased as Sarsis grew older--but he forced himself to ignore the aching in his bones and keep struggling on. That attitude won him several major victories in his later years, but Kazadan’s stubborn refusal to acknowledge his growing inability culminated in his death, at the hands of a rogue Apprentice.
Throughout his life, Kazadan kept contact with his birth-family on Tatooine, often visiting his elder brother, Jatham. He secretly envied Jatham’s freedom to settle down, raise children and live peaceably. A simplistic life was something that he would always be denied, however. The demands of the Jedi Council, the guilt of his force-sensitivity, and the anguish of an oppressed galaxy kept the Jedi Master constantly in motion. Although victory seemed to follow him on his missions, Kazadan’s heart wasn’t in his work.
Master Kazadan Sarsis was sixty-four when he died. He was struck down by a rogue Apprentice during a battle on Degoba. The body was never recovered, even though Kazadan’s previous Padawan spent several days looking for it. The search proved fruitless--there was never a burial. Instead, Naina and a few other close friends held a silent watch throughout the night.

  1. Sad. :( So at the moment, are you not planning for Aza to return to the Order?

I might write some. I don't know yet.

    1. I just feel tragic today. :P As for Aza . . . time will tell.

I look forward to it, if you do. :) I'd like to know what happens to Ari and Kalen, and Cald, too.

  2. I know what "happens next" for Kian, but his life is so intertwined with his past I can't say anything.

Maybe I'll do that for a different character . . . maybe Skanders.

  3. Aw. Poor Naina and Kazadan. I liked them, but they were sad. :(

Maybe I'll write up epilogues, IDK.
