I just wanted to say that I've begun plotting out a short story featuring Jorus's first meeting with Shiebrynn and his battle with Darth Gadorin, and it's coming along quite well so far. I haven't begun the actual writing, but I hope to do that soon.
Currently, I have fourteen character names—Jorus Travar, Kyra Solari, and Shiebrynn Nar'laan among them—and I think that's all I'll need for this half of the story. The second half, of course, will be Jorus's return to Utapau and his battle with Darth Gadorin. I'm considering having Barras Kampion as one of the Sith troopers under Gadorin's command.
Something that you should know: Jorus' personality is going to be very different in this story, because this time was the turning point for him. So just be warned. He's going to be a lot younger, more lighthearted, and less eloquent than he is in CaC2.
The editor's news. No one has accepted the offer yet. I'm not pushing you into it by saying this—I'm just notifying you of the fact.
As I wrote to Hyper, who asked about the tasks of an editor:
"There are two types of editors—blog editors and administrators. Blog editors would be able to write and edit only their own posts. Administrators would be able to edit all posts, the layout, and the pages. I'd be looking for devoted editors before I upgraded anyone to admin.
Administrators would correct all spelling mistakes they find and answer questions and comments about the blog. They would also confer with the Moderator (myself) if they can think of a better way to do something."
So, here's food for thought.
I could ramble off on a bunny trail on 'food for thought', but that wouldn't be proper. So I suppose I'll just leave it here and sign off.

P.S. I've started signing my name in dark green.

:) A Jorus story? Really? I'm so excited! :) Can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm considering being an editor. I'll give it a couple days thought . . . hopefully I'll get back to you on that soon.
Dark green. Nice touch. ;)

Yep, 568 words and in progress.
Delete:P Great progress. Are you enjoying it?

Yes, I am. He's in the Tython Temple at the time. Do you mind if I put Aza in this section as a youngling?
Delete:P Go ahead, stick her in. I'm really interested to see how his story plays out. I'm having a hard time imagining a lighthearted Jorus.
DeleteLy
It's surprising me how different he is.
DeleteThat's really hard for me to envision, just knowing him from CaC2. Does he ever laugh? I don't think I've ever seen Jorus enjoy himself, except for that time when he almost killed Gnawthrul. Interesting character arc, anyway.

Currently, at 943 words, he's smiling and bantering with his master.
Delete:) Haha, I seriously can't wait to see this . . . Kyra Solari will be interesting as well. :) Time to meet Cypher's mom.
DeleteHmmm... I draw a picture of Astrid Shekk and was wondering if there was anyway you, Dmitri, could post it here?
ReplyDeleteI could scan it in and post it on my blogspot blog, and you could possibly copy it?
That would work. I can do that.
DeleteI'm interested in being an editor, but I don't know how much I would be effectively contributing. I'll still do my best if you make me an Editor.
ReplyDeleteYou'd have to send me an email, because Blogger requires that I use the email addresses of people to invite them.
DeleteI sent an email to you.
DeleteI have invited you.
DeleteOkeydokey.
